APK Mod Installation Methods

There are several ways to run APK mods on Android devices. There’s XAPK’s, APK’s, OBB and sometimes other proprietary files. There’s also different styles of installations like Root Installs and Non-Root installs. On this post, we’ll inform you how to properly download from here on SinfulAndroid and install our APK Mods!

Root Devices

  • Lucky Patcher (Get it here: https://lucky-patcher.netbew.com/)
This is used to enable the install of unsigned APK files so you can restore game accounts from Google and Facebook
  • XAPK Installer (Get it here: https://apkpure.co/xapk-installer/)
XAPK Files automatically install OBB files and APK files all at once. Makes it much easier to install larger games like CSR Racing or Nitro Nation without the Play Store.

Non-Root Devices

Setting up your Root AND Non-Root Device, Universal Steps

Depending on what version of Android you’re running, these steps may be different from your device as Android 8.0 came with a lot of differences from 7.1.2 or older. This is meant for first time, never before have you installed an app outside the Play Store stuff.

Android 7.1.2 and Older Steps

  1. Download the stuff above from the correct section (Root or Non-Root) for your device from the links above and install them
  2. Open your Settings application and scroll down to Security
  3. In the Security settings, you should see an option called “Unknown Sources”
  4. Make sure you allow Unknown Sources. This means you can install APK’s from outside the Play Store.
  5. If you’re Rooted, continue to the Root APK/XAPK Mod Installing section. If you’re not Rooted, continue to the Non-Root APK Mod Installing section

Android 8.0 and Newer Steps

  1. Download the stuff above from the correct section (Root or Non-Root) for your device from the links above and install them
  2. Download whatever APK or XAPK file you want to install and open the XAPK Installer App
  3. You should see the APK/XAPK files you want to install in the list on the screen. Simply tap the Install button to the right and wait for the screen to change.
  4. You have to enable the Installation of apps per app now instead of just “Unknown Sources” in the Security settings like above
  5. From there, make sure you follow the rest of the instructions below that pertain to your device!
  6. If you’re Rooted, continue to the Root APK/XAPK Mod Installing section. If you’re not Rooted, continue to the Non-Root APK Mod Installing section

Root APK/XPK Mod Installing

  1. Once you’ve followed the steps above, open Lucky Patcher and give it Root Permissions
  2. Tap the “Toolbox” button on the bottom of the screen
  3. Select the option “Patch to Android” and when the new windows pops up, select “Disable signature verification in the package manager”
  4. The patch will go through, and your device will reboot!
  5. Once that’s completed, you can install APK’s and XAPK’s without worry of it failing due to signature verification issues!

Non-Root APK/XAPK Mod Installing

  1. Once you’ve followed the steps above, open the XAPK Installer app
  2. You MUST download the Non-Root APK/XAPK Files as Root APK files will give signature verification errors and will not install
  3. In the list you’ll see the APK/XAPK’s you’ve downloaded
  4. Simply tap the Install button on the right of your selection and the install will begin
  5. That’s it! Enjoy your fun!
